The Agile Testing Alliance Hyderabad Meetup created a valuable space for practitioners to come together and engage in open, experience driven discussions on the evolving landscape of software testing. For the QApilot team, the meetup was an opportunity to connect closely with the local QA community and understand how teams are thinking about AI, mobile automation, and the future of quality engineering in practical terms.

Throughout the meetup, we had thoughtful conversations with testers, QA leaders, and automation engineers working across a wide range of products and domains. Many discussions centered on the increasing complexity of mobile applications and the growing expectations placed on QA teams to keep up with faster release cycles. Participants shared real challenges around maintaining automation frameworks, handling frequent UI changes, and ensuring reliable coverage across devices and app versions.

A recurring theme across these conversations was the effort required to sustain traditional mobile automation. Several practitioners spoke about the time and maintenance overhead involved in managing Appium based setups, along with the fragility of test flows as applications evolve. This naturally led to deeper discussions on how AI is beginning to influence testing workflows and where it is genuinely helpful versus where it still falls short.

These exchanges closely aligned with QApilot’s focus on autonomous testing. We discussed how zero touch sanity testing can help teams gain immediate confidence in app health without heavy upfront setup. The conversations were not about replacing existing practices overnight, but about reducing repetitive effort and allowing QA teams to focus on higher value testing activities. Many attendees were particularly interested in how autonomy can coexist with existing tools and workflows rather than forcing a complete reset.

Another strong thread during the meetup was the role of context in AI driven testing. Several testers shared their experiences experimenting with AI tools and the challenges they faced when results were inconsistent or difficult to trust. This opened up meaningful dialogue around the importance of systems that understand application flows, states, and user journeys, rather than treating test steps in isolation. These discussions reinforced the idea that reliable AI in testing depends heavily on how well context is captured and used.

Community engagement was a defining aspect of the meetup. Informal discussions, shared problem solving, and candid exchanges created an environment where participants could learn from one another’s experiences. For QApilot, these interactions were invaluable in grounding our perspective in real world use cases and validating the problems we are building for.

We came away from the Agile Testing Alliance Hyderabad Meetup with a clearer understanding of the community’s needs and priorities. There is strong momentum toward smarter, more adaptive testing approaches, especially for mobile applications. Just as importantly, there is a shared desire to move forward thoughtfully, balancing innovation with reliability.

For QApilot, the meetup was an important step in continuing an ongoing conversation with the testing community, one centered on listening, learning, and building solutions that truly support how teams work today.
